Major Brent Taylor Receives Another Honor

A Utah National Guard officer who died in Afghanistan last year is receiving another honor.

The University of Utah awarded the family of Major Brent Taylor his doctorate in political science yesterday.

Jennie Taylor and her son Lincoln accepted on behalf of the former mayor of North Ogden, who would have graduated from the Ph.D. program yesterday if he hadn't been killed six months ago during his fourth overseas deployment.

A V.A. outstation in North Ogden was recently renamed in Taylor's honor.
