Memory of fallen former Utah mayor kept alive

Family and friends of former North Ogden Mayor Brent Taylor are keeping his memory alive.

A 40th birthday party for Taylor was held Saturday at North Ogden Park.

Taylor's wife Jennie said it was important to her to keep her husband's legacy alive.

The party was also a fundraiser for the Brent Taylor Leadership Legacy Foundation, which will award scholarships to students at BYU and the University of Utah.

Taylor was killed while serving as a member of the Utah National Guard in Afghanistan last November.
