A great majority of Utahn’s say they are against many of the elements of the tax reform package passed by state lawmakers earlier this month.

A new poll from UtahPolicy.com and Y2 Analytics found 68-percent of voters were against the legislation, with that opposition holding true across party lines.

The changes reduce state income tax but increase the sales tax on most goods and adds fees to services.

A group has begun collecting signatures for a referendum, looking to put the plan on the 2020 ballot.
