Former Utah Attorney General Mark Shurtleff says the state of Utah has reached a settlement with him over legal fees tied to a failed prosecution for bribery and corruption.

Shurtleff said yesterday that he's accepted a 600-thousand-dollar settlement offer.

The governor has signed the settlement, but state lawmakers still have to approve it and are expected to consider it later this month.

Shurtleff was charged in 2014, but those charges were ultimately dropped in 2016.
