New guidelines for Utah schools opening in the fall
The Utah Board of Education is giving school districts a blueprint to reopen for in-person classes this fall.
The board met yesterday and approved minimum guidelines that each district will have to meet before being allowed to reopen their buildings.
The rules include cleaning and hygiene standards, social distancing requirements and limitations on outside visitors.
The overall plan will now have to be approved by the governor.
If that happens, each school district will have until August 1st to provide the state with plans for reopening.
