At least one person is dead after being injured as a result of a severe wind storm that rolled through Utah. 

Intermountain Healthcare reported the death yesterday but did not give details about the person killed or the extent of their injuries. 

The National Weather Service said the most powerful gust of wind recorded yesterday was 99 miles an hour in Farmington, though several unofficial reports showed gusts of up to 112 miles an hour. 

Rocky Mountain Power reported nearly 124-thousand customers without electricity as of midnight last night and said it could be Thursday before most power is restored.
