The City of St. George is putting a hold on renovations and multi-million dollar projects for the upcoming fiscal year amid the pandemic.

Director of support services, Marc Mortensen, says that as they were planning the budget for the next fiscal year, it did not seem like a good idea to move forward with them for now.

Officials cut about 50-million dollars from the budget already as COVID-19 has impacted their funds and the lingering threat leaves a lot of uncertainty for the future.

Their recommended budget for now proposes about 302-million dollars for the fiscal year as last year's final budget was around 352-million.
