U of U student leaders criticizing administration over McClusky murder case
Student leaders at the University of Utah are criticizing the administration over its handling of the Lauren McClusky murder case.
In a unanimous resolution, the Associated Students of the University of Utah condemned how campus police handled reports that McClusky was being harassed by her ex-boyfriend.
They also took issue with U. lawyers arguing in court that campus officers had no obligation to keep the student-athlete safe since the man who killed McClusky was not a student or employee.
The ASUU says recent statements by the university involving the family's lawsuit against the school are akin to victim-blaming.
