Utah County man will stand trial in murder of teens
A Utah County judge has ruled that a man accused of murdering a young couple and dumping their bodies down a mine shaft near Eureka will stand trial.
Prosecutors say Jerrod Baum stabbed 18-year-old Riley Powell and 17-year-old Breezy Otteson to death in 2017.
Investigators claim Baum's girlfriend, Morgan Henderson, watched as the suspect bound and gagged the victims after they came to visit her without his permission.
Henderson testified against Baum during a preliminary hearing in March.
Prosecutors have not yet determined if they will seek the death penalty.
