Utah’s Unemployment Rate Drops Below 2%
(Salt Lake City, UT) -- Utah's unemployment rate has hit a new low. The state Department of Workforce Services announced Friday that April's estimated unemployment is one-point-nine percent. That's down from two-percent in April. Approximately 33-thousand Utahns were unemployed last month. Governor Cox praised the new numbers in a tweet, saying the state was proud of the workers who are contributing to Utah's robust economy.
