New job numbers are giving Utah economists an early Christmas gift.

The Department of Workforce Services says Utah's unemployment rate dropped to two-point-four-percent in November, the lowest since 2007.

Utah now ties with South Carolina for the second-lowest unemployment rate in the country, with Vermont leading the U.S. at two-point-three-percent.

Utah is also leading the nation for total job growth.
