The danger of wildfires remains high across most of Utah.

The National Weather Service says a Red Flag Warning is in effect for most of the state through 9 p.m.

State wildfire communications coordinator Kait Webb says Utah firefighters have worked hard to catch both lightning-caused and human-caused fires before they turn into something much bigger.

Forecasters say low humidity and windy conditions are currently creating a high risk that any spark could quickly build into a wildfire that spreads across a large area.

Webb says Utah firefighters have been on the ball during the current wildfire season.
