A woman is facing kidnapping charges after allegedly taking her daughter from the home of a relative and crossing the Utah-Nevada border.

Investigators say Courtney Lynn Crow took the four-year-old girl from the home of her uncle in South Salt Lake early yesterday.

Crow does not have legal custody of the child.

After her arrest yesterday, Crow reportedly told police that she intended to take the girl to another state so she could raise her.

Police say the four-year-old is safe and that Crow faces a felony kidnapping charge.
