Snow College student makes first public statement after disappearance
EPHRAIM, Utah (KDXU) - Madelyn Allen, the Snow College student who went missing last month, is making her first public statement.
Her parents posted a video from their daughter on a Facebook post Sunday night.
"I just wanted to thank you so much for your support, your prayers and your fasting while I was missing, just thank you so much, I really couldn't have done it without you guys," says Allen.
The 19-year-old didn't talk about what happened to her, saying that she is still working through the healing process.
"I probably won't be posting a lot of videos on my Youtube... But it's something I want to continue to do in the future maybe, so I can keep you up to date on that later," she says.
The Snow College student was reported missing in mid-December and was found five days later in the basement of a home in Wayne County. A suspect is facing charges of aggravated kidnapping, rape and aggravated sexual assault in connection with her disappearance.
