Man shot in stomach arrested

The man that was shot in the stomach last month in Hurricane has been booked into jail.

According to officials at the Hurricane Police Dept., 43-year-old Raul Rivera was released from the hospital and booked into jail after investigators interviewed witnesses and those involved in the incident.

They say Rivera was the “primary aggressor” in the incident and had a weapon in his hands when he lunged toward two other males.

Rivera was booked into Washington County jail on two counts of aggravated assault, threats, and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
