Many parents chose to keep their middle schoolers home after threats were made over social media.

Reportedly, threats to “shoot up” Pine View Middle School were made on the Social media app Snapchat.

On May 6th a Pine View Middle school parent posted a photo her daughter sent from a wall at the school that said, "I am shooting down the school on May 10 @ 10 am."

Authorities have looked into the situation, and many parents via Facebook vowed to keep their kids home today.

Pine View Middle school principal Steve Gustaveson sent the following letter out to Parents and guardians letting them know of the situation.
