Authorities have identified a young man whose body was found last week in the Sand Hollow Reservoir.

The medical examiner's office says 19-year-old Carlos Brambila of Salt Lake County died after going swimming near the "jumping rocks" area of the park.

His body was found Thursday about 15 feet from shore.

Investigators believe Brambila may have gone into shock after jumping into the water, where temperatures hovered around freezing.

Experts say with water that cold it only takes minutes for hypothermia to set in.
