Businesses that depend on live events to generate income are asking Utah lawmakers for more help to get them through the COVID-19 pandemic.

Utah Live Events Industry Association President Peter O'Doherty says the business owners and workers he represents have been heavily impacted by the pandemic.

About 200 members of the industry marched from the Salt Lake City-County Building to the state Capitol yesterday.

They hope to get more support from state and local lawmakers until the industry starts getting back to work next year.
