The first fire of the season caused a chimney fire at a home in St. George yesterday afternoon.

St. George fire responded on smoke coming out of the attic of the home at 850 E. Morningside Dr.

Crews discovered a fire in the chimney of the home.

St. George fire Capt. Dan Cazier said the fire was started by a buildup of creosote that had accumulated over the year.

No one was injured in the fire.
