Daylight savings time bill progressing

A bill that could keep Utah on daylight saving time permanently is now headed to the State House after clearing through the Senate.

SB59 from Republican State Senator Wayne Harper requires approval from Congress and similar action from least four other western states before taking effect.

California and Oregon have already passed similar legislation, while Arizona stays on standard time year-round.
