New legislation would cap how much Utahns would have to pay out of pocket for insulin. 

Under House Bill 207 from Republican Representative Norman Thurston, monthly copays would be limited to 30 dollars per patient. 

Pharmacists would also have more leeway to extend the length of time an insulin prescription can last. 

If passed, the law would go into effect at the start of 2021.
