Fire Lake Park is limiting its capacity for visitors after the park experienced large crowds over the last couple of weekends.

Santa Clara-Ivins Police Chief, Bob Flowers, says the park has been having the same issues as other parks in regards to crowd sizes and confirmed the park is limiting capacity to only the parking lot.

Officials suggested limiting park visitations to only city and county residents or charge carload fees, but they can't have an officer monitor that all day during park hours.

The parking lot has about 40 spaces and Flowers says they might expand it to 50.
