Prosecutors in Davis County have formally charged a former bishop for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on several charges related to the possession of child pornography.

A judge ordered that 61-year-old Timothy Hallows of Kaysville be held without bail.

Police arrested Hallows last week after learning that he had allegedly used Skype to distribute the images.

According to court records, the suspect refused to take a polygraph that would have included questions about whether he had sexually abused children.

Hallows is schedule for his first court appearance Wednesday.
