Two Chinese nationals are behind bars in Utah, accused of scamming the elderly.

The Utah Attorney General's Office has indicted both suspects on charges they defrauded victims out of a combined 600-thousand dollars.

Investigators say they posed as police officers on the phone and convinced victims to buy thousands of dollars in Walmart gift cards.

They then instructed victims to send them the cards' pin numbers.

Police were able to identify the suspects through their Sam's Club memberships and arrested them at a store in Utah County.
