Gun shot or a Truck Back fire either way it caused a commotion

Around 1pm on May 18, the St. George Police department received reports of gunshots in the area of 900 E Bloomington Hills.   In using precaution Multiple schools that were in close proximity were put on lock out.  Multiple School resource officer, motor officer and patrol officer converged on the area in an effort to locate the source.   They found that It was actually a truck that backfired, and no evidence of gunshot fire was found.  The schools were taken off of lock out. 

The City of St. George says “We are happy this situation ended quickly and peacefully.  We request that citizens contact police immediately if they witness suspicious or criminal activity.  We are continually thankful for your support and cooperation.
