Hurricane Peach Days 2020 postponed

The Hurricane City Council is postponing the Peach Days 2020 celebration.

People at the meeting urged members to not hold the celebration as it would be difficult to follow safety guidelines while others argued the economic impacts of postponing would be dire.

The executive director of Peach Days says he's not confident that they can have a safe celebration amid a nationwide surge in COVID-19 cases.

The council then voted to postpone Peach Days until the county goes green.

The Lions Club will be having the annual Dixie Roundup Rodeo in the historic Dixie Sun Bowl Sept 17-19.
