Chapter 12 Overthrown by Fire 75

Standing in an unused tunnel, Succubus formed a whirlwind of air twisting above the ground. With his other hand he directed fire down and into the top. The fire swooped downward, leaving a curly mark on the floor where it exited.

Impressed by this feat, Succubus tried it again, but this time included oxygen after the fire, forcing the flame downward and burning it hotter. The flame came out the bottom in a tight flame that was white hot. It made a roaring sound and left a scorch mark on the rock.

I wonder if I could use this to beat better cursers, he wondered.

He made his swirling torch over and over again, until he the rocks glowed where the flame burned. He had not seen any other demon combine air and fire in this way. It made a powerful, focused torch.

How Smart is this Plan?

His plan had been to become so good at the demon arts that he could beat all others. Something about what Ansu had said made him reconsider. The old demon had said they had thought he was dangerous. Was it because he did things differently?
