Jon Huntsman Jr. weighing several options for governor’s race
Former Utah governor and U.S. ambassador Jon Huntsman, Jr. is weighing several factors before jumping into another governor's election in Utah.
Huntsman said he wants to make sure his family is completely comfortable with the idea before making a decision about the 2020 race.
Huntsman said he is also trying to determine if he has the right skills to lead Utah at a "pivot point" in the state's development.
Huntsman has said previously he plans to make an announcement about his plans by the middle of next month.
Huntsman said that, next to his family, his next biggest consideration is whether he can do what's needed to lead the state to greater prosperity.
