A 33-year-old LaVerkin man was arrested for sexually abusing, raping, a 15-year-old on multiple occasions, according to police.

Arresting documents state they were called to investigate after the girl reported she had been sexually abused by Cameron Prisbrey.

Documents state the girl said the most recent abuse happened last week when she said Prisbrey pushed her down and would not let her leave the home.

She said he then pulled off all her clothes and his clothes and raped her and sexually assaulted her.

She told police while the assault was happening, she told him to stop and he was hurting her, but he didn't stop, documents state.

The girl said he sexually assaulted her on two other occasions about a month ago, according to documents.

Prisbrey told the girl not to tell anyone and if she did it would be bad, documents state.

During an interview with police, Prisbrey denied touching the girl and that he would not hurt any one.

According to documents, he did however, disclose that he touched the girl inappropriately over her clothes on one occasion.

Prisbrey was placed under arrest on suspicion of first-degree felony rape and forcible sodomy, and three counts second-degree felony forcible sexual abuse.

A record check shows he was convicted of child abuse and tampering with a witness in 2018 after police said he hit his 5-year-old daughter after she accidentally shut the dog's head in the door. During the course of that investigation, police learned Prisbrey and the children's stepmom would make them drink a cup of hot sauce or vinegar when they were bad, documents state.

According to charging documents, Prisbrey then coached the little girl into lying about the incidents involving any prior abuse. During an interview with police, the little girl disclosed she does not feel safe when she is with her dad.

Police also received text evidence that Prisbrey admitted he hit the girl, shoved her to the ground, made her sit in the corner and threatened to beat her if she ever hurt the dog again, documents state.

Prisbrey was also convicted of unlawful sexual activity with a minor in 2004 but the records of the incident were not immediately made available. He was placed on one-year probation and ordered to pay a fine of $587.

Prisbrey was arrested in 2008 for domestic violence in the presence of a child, simple assault, disorderly conduct, trespassing and intoxication. All but the trespassing charge was dismissed in a plea deal with prosecutors after he attended treatment.

Prisbrey also has convictions of various infractions including several dog at large and noise ordinance violations.
