Utah lawmakers are considering a change to their meeting rules to help reduce the chance of exposure to the coronavirus.

Senate Majority Whip Dan Hemmert is seeking a resolution to allow the House and Senate to hold meetings without all members being in the same place.

The legislature has already put rules into place limiting physical contact such as handshakes and note passing.

Hemmert hopes to have the resolution considered before the legislature adjourns Thursday.
