(Springdale, UT) -- A man who was injured while falling as he climbed a cliff alone at Zion National Park has been hospitalized. DPS says Park Rangers found the man Sunday after he had actually taken the fall, and spent the night outside in the cold. Rangers called in DPS to send a helicopter and then guided the aircraft to the scene of the fall off Kolob Canyon. Video from the scene shows the man being hoisted into the air away from the scene of the fall, and lifted to safety. It's not clear how badly the man was injured. But authorities say he is safe.
