Motorcyclist Killed in Virgin River Gorge

A motorcyclist was killed yesterday afternoon in a crash that shutdown I-15 near the Utah-Arizona state line for a time.

At about 2 p.m., paramedics were called to a crash involving two motorcycles on I-15 at mile marker 13, roughly 5 miles northeast of Littlefield, Arizona, according to a statement from the Beaver Dam/Littlefield Fire.

One of the riders suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead on scene after life-saving measures were unsuccessful.

That person’s name has not been released. A second motorcyclist was transported to the hospital in critical condition, fire officials said.
