No deaths on Utah’s highways for the July 4th weekend, 54 DUI arrests made by UHP

No deaths on Utah’s highways this weekend, that’s the good news. Utah Highway Patrol did have a busy weekend working their part of a statewide sweep to prevent tragedy on our highways.

UHP reported they made 54 DUI arrests.

Here are the numbers:

• 2,946 Traffic Stops
• 1.982 Speeding Contacts
• 229 Seat-belt Contacts
• 54 DUI Arrests
• 14 Reckless/ Careless driving arrests

And…UHP assisted 796 motorists who had vehicle trouble.
