Primary election results from Iron County

Preliminary election results from Iron County show a tie for the open Town Council seat in Brian Head. Cecile-Marie Wallis and Shaun Kelly each received 23 of the 46 total votes cast, so far.

County Clerk Jon Whittaker says, over the next few days, his office will process provisional ballots and ballots that were mailed by the deadline.

Results from Cedar City show new-comer Tyler Melling joining incumbents Terri Hartley and Craig Isom on the Cedar City Council.

In Kanarraville, Stoney Shugart is in for now, but a tie for the second open seat with Michael Humes and Tyler Allred both getting 75 votes—that could change.

In Parowan, Matt Gale, Jim Shurtleff and David Burton are in, pending final results.

In Paragonah, the two open Town Council seats will be filled by Michael Abbott and Marjorie Cipkar.

Again, provisional and mail-in ballot post-marked by Monday but received later still must be counted. Another update is expected on Friday.

Final canvassing ranges from November 12 through November 14th in the towns involved.
