People in Washington County are protesting the governor's mask mandate for all K-12 school districts and charter schools.

The Washington County School District's Board of Education had to call police yesterday as dozens of demonstrators tried to enter the meeting they held yesterday.

Officials discussed the wording of the governor's order as some members are hesitant to follow it, while others say they want to minimize risk and the safest place is to comply.

The board plans on holding a work session next Monday to fine tune their reopening plan and a public feedback meeting on July 27th.
