Salt Lake Temple to undergo four year renovation

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has released renderings of the new interior of the Salt Lake Temple after its upcoming renovations are finished.

Church historians say the new interior will mark a return to the temple's original décor and scheme, complete with darker colors.

The renderings include new designs for the Lower Grand Hall, Creation Room, Garden Room and World Room.

The Salt Lake Temple will begin its four-year overhaul starting on December 29th.
