Crews remove Angel Moroni from Salt Lake Temple

Workers renovating the Salt Lake Temple will have to temporarily remove the Angel Moroni from the top of its spire. 

Officials for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints say the 5.7-magnitude earthquake last month damaged some of the stones on the temple. 

Crews are installing a crane to remove the statue and give workers better access to the damaged spots. 

The March 18th quake infamously knocked the angel's trademark trumpet out of his hand.
