The Iron County School District is postponing its start date for the fall semester for another two weeks.

Officials say moving the start date gives them time to implement their recently approved reopening plan in every school, so everyone is prepared from day one.

All other calendar dates remain the same and the delay also gives them time to gather necessary supplies such as face masks, sanitizer and signage.

The 2020 through 2021 school year will now begin on August 25th and parents can still choose a remote learning option for their child if they deem it appropriate.
