A 66-year-old man is in the hospital after a 30-foot drop off Cougar Cliffs.

First responders say the man and his brother were hiking in the area last night when he lost his footing and then dropped about 30-feet onto a ledge.

A technical high-angle rope team was dispatched to the scene which lifted the pair to the top of the cliff.

The 66-year-old walked himself out of the canyon with a little help and was then transported to a hospital by ambulance to be evaluated and treated.
