The Utah Department of Health is releasing updated guidelines for schools to follow as they reopen for the fall.

Under the changes, students will be allowed to go to school even if they have been directly exposed to the coronavirus.

UDOH says under a "modified quarantine," parents will decide if their child can go to class after exposure, so long as the child does not show symptoms of COVID-19 and no one else in their home tests positive.

Also, schools would shut down after 15 people test positive in the same time frame.
