Snowbird may celebrate the 4th of July on the slopes
Officials at Snowbird say they could be skiing on July 4th this year.
Snowbird Communication Manager Brian Brown said yesterday that the resort currently has 688 inches of snow, just two inches short of its all-time record, and even more snow is on the way.
Forecasters say another foot of snow could pile up at the resort before the end of this week.
Present plans are to keep skiing operations open through June 16th and, if the snow allows, holding a special skiing day on July 4th.
