Trial for Kanosh assistant fire chief moved to Utah County

The criminal trials of a former assistant fire chief in Kanosh will take place in Utah County.

A judge in Millard County approved a change in venue for the cases against 27-year-old Austin Corry, citing concerns that it would be difficult to find a fair and impartial jury in the small community due to the ongoing press coverage.

Corry is accused of raping two women at the Kanosh Fire Station in 2015 and 2016.

One of the alleged victims was a firefighter under his command, while the other was delivering food to the fire house.

No date for either trial has been set.
