The Utah Highway Patrol says a man wanted for a possible DUI is dead after reportedly pointing a gun at law enforcement in Emery County.

The unidentified man was pulled over Saturday afternoon but drove away after pointing a gun at an Emery County deputy.

The man's car was eventually disabled by spike strips, and he was shot by multiple officers after getting out of his car and pointing his weapon at them.

The shooting is still under investigation.
