A Utah soldier who was killed while serving in World War Two more than 76 years ago will return home to be buried.

The Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency has identified the body of U.S. Army Air Forces Technical Sergeant Max Lower of Lewiston.

The 23-year-old was a radio operator on a bomber that was shot down as part of Operation Tidal Wave, the war's largest bombing mission, which targeted Nazi oil fields and refineries in Romania.

Lower's body was identified using anthropological analysis and the Armed Forces Medical Examiner System.

He will be buried in Lewiston on November 23rd.
