A proposal to create Utahraptor State Park north of Moab will head back to the drawing board after failing to clear a committee in the State Senate.

House Bill 322 would have established the state park near Arches National Park to preserve a dinosaur quarry nearby.

State lawmakers cited the ten-million-dollar price tag for the holdup, saying they were concerned there was not enough money in the state budget for pay for it this year.
