St. George is receiving over three-million dollars in federal CARES Act funding to be used to support and maintain public transit amid the pandemic.

Officials say those funds will be going to the St. George SunTran, with most of it being used for operations, then capital investments, paratransit van replacements and more.

The grant funding will be available as long as the City Council accepts it during their meeting today.
