Officials are launching an investigation after a rock formation was vandalized and another sustained possible vehicle damage over the weekend at Sand Hollow State Park.

Park Manager Jonathan Hunt says that since the incidents occurred on federal land, Utah State Parks and the Bureau of Land Management are working together on the case.

Investigators believe the rock formation was vandalized last weekend when the park experienced record-breaking numbers of guests.

They have already identified the driver that damaged the other iconic rock formation and are working to resolve the issue.
