A 79-year-old motorcyclist was taken to the hospital via Intermountain Life Flight on Saturday afternoon after hitting a ladder on the road on Northbound I 15 near Exit 10 to Washington City.

The motorcyclist, a Washington city resident, was riding a three-wheel motorcycle in the left lane at 3:25 p.m. when he hit the ladder, and swerved left, but hit the concrete median causing him to fall off his bike, and roll. He was not wearing safety gear, which prompted Highway Patrol Sgt. Joe Pastor to remind those who ride motorcycles to wear safety equipment.

The name and current condition of the man is unknown at this time.
