Washington County’s administrative services are getting a new home. With Washington County’s population set to double in the coming decades, county leaders are committed to ensuring the inevitable growth happens responsibly. Washington County Commissioners Iverson, Almquist, and Cox are leading the project, with County Administrator Nicholle Felshaw spearheading as project manager. The design-build team consists of Watts Construction as general contractor and Simpson Coulter Studio as architect.
Commissioner Almquist explains that the building will consolidate several county resources into a centralized location, increasing efficiency and effectiveness.
A groundbreaking ceremony will be held on January 5th, 2021 at 2pm. All county services will remain in their existing locations through construction, which is anticipated to last through September 2022.
