Officials say a wildfire that burned down an outbuilding was started Tuesday, after some chemicals in a La Verkin resident's shed burst into flames.

The person was cleaning out the shed in 100-degree heat when the explosion happened.

The fire spread to 19 acres and threatened five homes as ground and air crews fought the flames.

No one was injured.

The fire was 80 percent contained as of Tuesday night.
